The priority field informs the dashboard where to position the charts. By default, these numbers are 100, 200, 300, etc. The number here defines the order in which dashboard elements will be displayed. A dashboard element with priority 1 will be displayed before a dashboard element with priority 10. It is recommended that these numbers are spaced out a bit to allow insertion of new dashboard elements.
The chart type dropdown menu allows users to choose from a variety of styles, including Time Series, which allows users to view recorded data over time. For more information on Time Series charts, see Dashboard: Creating time series charts.
