UrsaLeo Cloud does not store all sensor data by default. To begin storing data, first turn on storage for the particular sensor you want to capture data for. This is done in the Dashboard tab, using the preferences wheel on the specific sensor.
Once in the preferences panel, make sure the check box is ticked for Record data from this sensor:
Stored data can be downloaded from the Home tab:
All data stored is time stamped with a UTC standard time stamp in the format 05/28/2019 23:55:41. This format can be used by most analytics programs without further editing.
**Warning** Don’t forget your local time zone may not be UTC. Dates can be manipulated after download to adjust to local time, if desired.
Clicking the download button brings you to this screen.
The range of sensor data to download can be selected from the two date boxes. The first date defaults to the date / time the account was created, the second to the date and time of the last data received.
Available Devices: Only gateway devices that have sensor data stored will be listed. Device name with Device ID is shown. Naming devices (in the Devices tab, click Edit next to the Device's line item) to make them easy to differentiate is good practice.
Available Sensors: This set of checkboxes allows selection of the sensors to be downloaded. It is recommended to download one sensor data at a time as it is easier to manipulate data stored in separate files. Data is downloaded directly to your computer in CSV format.
Clicking the download button initiates the download. Files are stored using a date-time timestamp for example sensorData-2019-05-29-02-52.
Downloaded data can then be analyzed using a multitude of analytics programs. Here’s a short video on using Excel Pivot Charts to plot temperature data: https://www.loom.com/share/c09c5951cc194f4bb0da53173e3988cf
